“I met Chuck in 2019, and I was fortunate to have him as my CNA. Over the years, he’s become someone I can turn to whenever I feel burnout creeping in. He’s reminded me to pause, take care of myself, and focus on what truly matters. Chuck has helped ground me, refocus my energy, and encouraged me to care for my mental health—whether that means improving it or maintaining it, depending on where I am in my journey. I value both Chuck and Honey Suckle Bush for the support they give to healthcare workers, and for the resources they bring to individuals and the community.” “Honey Suckle Bush is a safe place with loving, morally grounded direction. The group is interactive and fosters self-examination in a gentle, supportive way. I see good things ahead for Honey Suckle Bush’s future.” “Before I found the Honey Suckle Bush Charity, I was carrying the weight of my trauma mostly alone. I didn’t talk about it much—partly because I didn’t feel safe, and partly because I wasn’t even sure how. Mental health had become something I quietly struggled with every day, always in the background, often overwhelming. Honey Suckle Bush didn’t erase my trauma, but it helped me soften toward it. I started to see my past not as something that defined me, but as a story I had survived. Just like the bush that blooms year after year, I realized I could keep growing.”
